I am currently studying primary school teaching through the University of Waikato and am absolutely delighted to be a student teacher at Ōtūmoetai Primary School this year. Prior to embarking on this teaching journey, I studied law at the University of Canterbury and worked as a solicitor in both Auckland and Tauranga.

I was drawn to teaching because I love working with children. Their energy is infectious and curiosity is contagious. I am so looking forward to getting to know the students and learning with them!

I love the outdoors so in my spare time you’ll either find me surfing or out walking with friends. I also enjoy cooking and love to get stuck into a book when I can.

As a past pupil of Otumoetai Primary School, I am excited to be back in a new role as a student teacher. I am in my final year of study with the University of Waikato and am looking forward to bringing the ‘latest and greatest’ teaching into the classroom.

I am passionate about developing the future of our community into tomorrow’s role models. When I’m not at school I’m either at the rugby field, or doing something involving water. If you see me around feel free to say hello, you’ll find it’s reciprocal!
