This page will be updated often with information about the sports available at OPS. The individual sport tabs will have the rules, registration forms, draws and any other relevant information for that particular sport.

Team wins the WBOP Amazing Race. Welldone to the Year 5 and 6 team who were entered in the Amazing Race.
Ripper Rugby World Cup - 2012
The Year 3 and 4 team won the Plate Final - Great job! A big thanks to the parents who helped out on the day.
Winter sports
Otumoetai Breakers - Don't they look smart in their new Basketball singlet and shorts!
11th May 2012: Won 38 - 8 in their first game of the season. Player of the day Olivia Kennedy.
Otumoetai Bouncers - Year 1 and 2 Miniball team tied their first game. Player of the day: Kahn Thompson.
Cross Country - the school Cross Country is going to be held on Wednesday 23rd May at Mitchell Park. More details will be available in the school newsletter.
All Winter sports are underway.
Please take care of the school issued uniforms - no ironing of the sports shirts please.
Turbo touch registration form will be available on Monday 21st May. Please return the forms by Friday.

Cross Country training
On a Wednesday lunchtime a teacher will take a group to Mitchell Park to practice the course. Please meet outside Room 21 as soon as the bell rings.
Sports available in Terms 2 and 3 at Otumoetai Primary School
Miniball
Played at the Tech Arena on a Friday evening. We have a Year 1 /2, Year 3/4 and two Year 5 / 6 teams entered in this competition.
Hockey
Played on a Saturday morning for Years 3 - 6 students. We have two Year 3 /4 teams and one Year 5 /6 team. Year 1 and 2 players have a skill session at Pillans Point Primary on a Wednesday after school.
Netball
We have two Year 3 /4 teams which play on a Thursday evening at Blake Park, Mount Maunganui and one Year 5 team and two Year 6 teams which play on a Saturday morning at Blake Park, Mount Maungaui.
Turbo Touch
Registration forms will be available at the start of Term 2.
Sports available to students in Terms 1 and 4 at Otumoetai Primary School
Flipperball
Played at Memorial Pool on a Tuesday night.
Volleyball
Played at the QE11 centre on a Friday evening.
Kiwitag
Played at Mitchell Park on a Monday night.
Soft ball and T Ball
Played on Saturday morning at Carlton Reserve.
Uniform
All team players require an OPS sports shirt ( except flipperball) Shirts cost $5.00 per season to hire. They are also available to be purchased from the school office.
