Teacher

I have been teaching in the early childhood and primary sectors for the last 10 years and can honestly say “I love my job!” I have a passion for The Arts and Science so we get a bit messy - one of our learning goals is cleaning up after ourselves! In Room 22 we laugh, dance, sing and play as we explore, experiment and learn together. Singing is one of my passions and I love sharing this passion with the Junior Choir at OPS.

I teach a Year 1 class in room 19. I have always enjoyed working with the little ones just starting school. After 10 years as a Reading Recovery teacher I am really happy to be back in my own classroom again.

I teach one of the new entrants classes here at Otumoetai Primary. We have lots of fun during the day but we also work really hard to learn our alphabet and sounds in reading. Room 22 loves learning their numbers in maths too.

Acting Deputy Principal - Tui team lead teacher

I am Lead Teacher of the Year 1 area, Tui Team and Acting Deputy Principal for Term One. I look after the Junior area of the school. I also spend some time teaching small groups of children in Room 20 doing enrichment programmes. I enjoy being part of a great school community and fantastic teaching team. I like learning to be fun!
